Membership Terms
These Membership Terms apply to all authors who are accepted into Amery Publishing and form part of the overall Terms and Conditions.
By accepting membership, you agree to these Membership Terms.
Membership Basis
Amery Publishing operates as a private, author only community. Membership is offered by application and approval, and is intended to create a supportive, focused, and ethical environment for authors.
Acceptance into the community is at the discretion of Amery Publishing, and acceptance does not guarantee publication, sales, visibility, or commercial success.
Membership Levels
Amery Publishing offers different membership levels, each with its own inclusions and benefits.
Details of current membership levels, including pricing and what is included, are provided separately and may be updated from time to time.
Members are responsible for choosing the membership level that best suits their needs.
ISBN Allocation
All memberships include the allocation of at least one ISBN provided by Amery Publishing.
ISBNs are allocated for use on books published through or in association with Amery Publishing and remain registered to Amery Publishing as the publisher of record, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
ISBNs are issued for use on specific works and may not be transferred, resold, or reused for unrelated publications.
Membership Duration and Renewal
Membership is granted for a fixed term, typically twelve months from the date of commencement.
Membership does not renew automatically. Renewal invitations are issued in advance of expiry, allowing members to decide whether they wish to continue.
There is no obligation to renew membership if it is no longer the right fit.
Payments and Refunds
Membership fees are payable in advance and are clearly communicated before payment is requested.
Once membership has commenced, fees are non refundable, except where required by law or agreed in writing.
Community Conduct and Participation
Members are expected to engage respectfully and constructively within the Amery Publishing community.
This includes respecting differing opinions, maintaining confidentiality where appropriate, and avoiding behaviour that undermines trust or safety.
Unsolicited selling, promotional messaging, or private approaches for commercial gain are not permitted within the community.
Amery Publishing reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership if behaviour is found to be harmful, disruptive, or inconsistent with the values of the community.
Content and Intellectual Property
Members retain full ownership of their own writing and creative work.
By sharing content within the community, members grant Amery Publishing permission to display that content within the private community environment for discussion and feedback purposes only.
Amery Publishing does not claim ownership of member content and will not use it for commercial purposes without explicit permission.
Termination of Membership
Membership may be terminated by the member at any time by notifying Amery Publishing.
Amery Publishing may terminate membership if these Membership Terms are breached, or if continued membership is deemed incompatible with the purpose or wellbeing of the community.
Termination of membership does not entitle the member to a refund of fees already paid.
Changes to Membership Terms
Membership Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how Amery Publishing operates.
Members will be informed of significant changes, and continued membership constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
