An ISBN does not cover a book forever.

Each format requires its own ISBN:

• Paperback → 1 ISBN

• Hardback → 1 ISBN

• Ebook → 1 ISBN

• Audiobook → 1 ISBN

Same title.

Same text.

Different formats = different ISBNs.

Most authors only discover this after publishing… so consider this a friendly heads-up.

Knowledge first, so you don’t need to panic later.

Owning your own ISBN means your book is registered in national and international book databases.

It becomes discoverable by bookshops, libraries, distributors, and retailers, not just one platform.

Your name or imprint appears as the publisher of record.
